Thomas Brodie-Sangster is a British actor, producer, musician, and multi-instrumentalist. As a child star, he made himself popular with the audience with his role in the Christmas comedy Love Actually (2003) alongside Keira Knightley.
The multi-talent later appeared in the extremely successful family comedy Nanny McPhee (2005) and The Last Legion (2007), among others. Thomas Sangster also has numerous TV roles, including that of Jojen Reed in the incredibly popular fantasy series Game of Thrones (2013-2014).

Thomas Brodie-Sangster was born on 16 May 1990 in Southwark, London. He grew up at the side of his younger sister Ava Sangster. His father Mark Sangster and his mother Tasha Bertram are both actors. His father’s family is originally from the Scottish town of Banchory. His mother is mainly English with tiny degrees of Scottish, Welsh, Cornish, French, and Belgian descent.
There is little information about Thomas Sangster’s early education. However, he received his secondary education at the Pimlico School in the Pimlico area of Westminster, London. Thomas Sangster comes from a family of entertainers. In 2010 he founded the band Winnet in collaboration with his parents Mark Sangster and Tasha Bertram and his sister Ava Sangster. In 2006 Thomas Sangster founded the independent film company Brodie Films with his mother, based in London. However, Brodie Films was closed in May 2013.
Thomas Sangster made his acting debut on the BBC telefilm channel Jim (2001). This was followed by roles in a number of other telefilms – The Miracle of Cards (2001), Bobbie’s Girl (2002), and Stig of the Dump (2002). In 2007 he also played the leading role in the action movie The Last Legion, based on the novel of the same name. Sangster lent his voice to the character Ferb Fletcher in the Disney animated series Phineas and Ferb (2007-2015). He also played a leading role in the romantic biography Bright Star (2009) and Nowhere Boy (2009). As if that wasn’t enough, Thomas Sangster was a guest star in an episode of the British crime drama series Lewis (2009) and also in the action-comedy The Baytown Outlaws (2012).
Also in 2012, Sangster was given the role of Jojen Reed in HBO’s highly successful Game of Thrones series. He also starred in the Hollywood blockbuster The Maze Runner (2014) and repeated his role in its sequels Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) and The Maze Runner: The Healing of Death (2018).
