Stranger Things has been received with great success since the premiere of the first season on July 15, 2016. The science-fiction horror series has played different characters in its episodes and has constantly added new cast members. Maya Hawke was born on 8 July 1998 in New York City, New York. She was named Maya Ray Thurman Hawke by her parents, the actor Ethan Hawke and the actress Uma Thurman Hawke. Maya has a brother who was born in 2002.
After they met in 1997, Thurman and Ethan Hawke exchanged their marriage vows in May 1998. The couple finally divorced in 2005 when rumors of Ethan’s infidelity began to circulate. Ethan would marry the family’s former nanny, Ryan Shawhughes.

In the adaptation of The Little Mermaid planned by Universal Picture, director Sofia Coppola Maya Hawke wanted the role. But the producers wanted Chloë Grace Moretz instead. This and other problems led to Coppola dropping out of the project.
In the meantime Maya, Andrea Riseborough, and Charlie Plummer have been cast in Please Baby Please, a historical drama directed by Amanda Kramer. Production is scheduled to start in February 2020.

Maya Hawke Is also a Model and Musician
Hawke is an all-rounder. She is not only an actress but also a model and an aspiring musician. She follows the same path as her mother and grandmother, Maya modeled for Vogue when she started her modeling career. She has also modeled for Calvin Klein’s underwear line and was the face of the 2016/2017 collection of the British fashion retailer AllSaints.
As for her music career, Maya performed the song Total Eclipse of the Heart in the 7th episode of the third season of Stranger Things.
