Kylian Mbappe Biography, Parents, Current Club, Salary, Age and Other Facts

Boy Wonder Kylian Mbappe has brought football unsurpassed talent not seen since the days of Pele (some would disagree). However, his record as a world champion at the age of 19 has already made him a legend. No matter what happens from now on, Kylian Mbappe will surely be remembered for having achieved some of Pele’s records. He has also beaten some of the records of his compatriot Thiery Henry. Mbappe’s incredible talents have been duly rewarded with awards and of course with record-breaking contracts.

Kylian Mbappe Biography (Age)

Kylian Mbappé Lottin was born on 20 December 1998 in Paris, France. He started playing football as a small child and began his career with AS Bondy, a club where his father was a youth coach. Mbappe’s skills were immediately apparent. One of his coaches, Antonio Riccardi, noted that Mbappe, then 6 years old, was the best child he had coached in 15 years.

From AS Bondy, Mbappe transferred to the Academy in Clairefontaine, and it was not long before huge European clubs came to him. From Real Madrid to Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Chelsea. He traveled to West London to try his hand at Chelsea but chose Monaco to stay close to home. Mbappe joined the Monaco Youth Academy in 2013 and two years later, at the age of 16, he made the leap to the senior national team.

Mbappe was to break records, and that is exactly what he succeeded in doing. He wiped away many records previously set by Thierry Henry. Among other things, he became the youngest player in the first team in Monaco and the youngest first-team scorer. Monaco consolidated his place in the team by offering him his first professional contract on 6 March 2016. It was a 3-year contract that would keep him on the team until 2019.

Mbappe continued to set records in European competitions that put him on the radar of major teams. He joined PSG on a loan basis at the end of August 2017 and was later signed on by the side for a record transfer fee that made him the most expensive teenager. Mbappe’s contributions to the French national football team were the key to qualifying for the World Cup in Russia.

Mbappe scored his first international goal in a World Cup qualifying match against the Netherlands on 31 August 2017. He continued to shine in Russia 2018, scoring his first and only goal for his team in a group match against Peru. Mbappe left the FIFA World Cup with the award for Best Young Player of the FIFA World Cup.

Kylian Mbappe Parents

Mbappe owes his parents his sporting genes, which are deep in his blood. His father Wilfried Mbappé, who comes from Cameroon, was a footballer for many years before he started training. His mother, on the other hand, was a well-known handball player who played in the first French league. Her name is Fayza Lamari and she comes from Alegria, which is why Mbappe is of Camorunian and Algerian descent, which explains his large fan base from African countries.

Mbappe’s father served as a youth coach for AS Bondy for 25 years. Before he was offered the job, Wilfried worked with children in his hometown and helped to promote them in sports. AS Bondy president Atmane Airouche had nothing but nice things to say about Mbappe’s father in his interview with the BBC.

Before Mbappe’s parents had him, they were already parents of an adopted son, Jires Kembo-Ekoko, who is also a professional footballer. Like his brother, he plays as a striker for the Turkish club Bursaspor and is a former youth international for France. Mbappe has a younger biological brother named Ethan Mbappé, who plays for PSG under the age of 12.
