Ciara Princess Harris Biography
Ciara was born on October 25, 1985, in Austin, Texas, and happens to be the only child of her parents, Jackie and Carlton Clay Harris. Ciara’s early years were very interesting, but they were not stable. This was because her father was an officer, and this meant that her family had to travel a lot, so it was hard for Ciara to make friends or find a hobby for herself.
As the only child of a military parent, Ciara traveled the world and grew up in Germany, New York, Utah, California, Arizona, and Nevada. Eventually, her parents settled in Atlanta and sent Ciara to music lessons to learn more about music, as her passion and talent could no longer be ignored; Ciara was still in her teens at that time. After seeing Destiny’s Child on television, Ciara was convinced that she should make music and decided to form the all-girl group, which became known as Hearsay. However, the girls had difficulties and soon after had to separate.
After her group broke up, she decided not to fall with it and was inspired to refine her skills as a songwriter. Ciara Princess Harris started writing songs and even signed a publishing contract as a songwriter. Her first success as a songwriter came when she wrote the song Got Me Waiting for R&B Singer, the debut album of Fantasia Barrino, Free Yourself. It was a big breakthrough for the young lady who was seeking fame as an aspiring songwriter.
Her efforts as a songwriter paved the way for her to meet Atlanta’s prominent music producer, Jazze Pha. She declared Jazze to be her musical soul mate, and soon they began working on some interesting demos, which then appeared on the debut album of Ciara Princess Harris.
Sometime in 2013, after Ciara graduated high school, Jazze Pha helped her sign a record deal with LaFace Records in Atlanta. The following year (2014), she dropped a hit single, which was followed by the release of her debut album entitled Goodies. Goodies exceeded all expectations and were awarded triple platinum (3 million records sold) by the Recording Industry Association of America. Apart from that, the song reached the top of the singles charts in both the USA and the UK. The album was also nominated for the 2005 Grammy Awards and remains their biggest album.
Ciara Princess Harris’ highly anticipated second studio album, Ciara: The Evolution, was released sometime in the first week of December 2006.
