The wrestler was born on 6 June 1985 as Andrew McLean Galloway IV in Ayr, Prestwick, South Ayrshire, Scotland. He was also raised there by his parents, Andrew Galloway Sr. and Angela Anne Galloway. Growing up, Drew played football as a defender and was good at it. He showed great skill and such a passion for the game of ball that many expected him to become a professional footballer. In fact, he is said to have spent many seasons with Prestwick Boys Club in Scotland, but all this was not to be the case when Drew went pro but in another sport.

For his education, he attended Prestwick Academy, from where he went to Glasgow Caledonian University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology.

Drew McIntyre, also known as “The Prodigal Son” or “The Great American Nightmare”, began fighting in independent circles between 2001 and 2007. At the age of only fifteen, he began training as a wrestler at the Frontier Wrestling Alliance Academy.

He took home his first ICW heavyweight championship in 2006 when he participated in the first Insane Championship Wrestling. In the WWE, Drew McIntyre competed in the Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) before becoming Intercontinental Champion in 2009.

When he won the WWE Tag Team Championship alongside Cody Rhodes, McIntyre defended the title twice before being beaten by John Cena and David Otunga. After a long stay at ICW, he returned in 2014. In the same year, he made his debut for both Evolve Wrestling and the Independent Circuit.

During his very long and interesting wrestling career, he has had a number of successes including an NXT Championship, a WWE Tag Team Championship (which he won with Cody Rhodes), a WWE Intercontinental Championship, a WCPW World Championship, and he was named Defiant Wrestling Award for Match of the Year. Interestingly, Kaitlyn Frohnapfel is not a wrestler or anyone in the entertainment industry as one would expect but instead is supposed to be a doctor in training from 2016.
