Kane Brown Bio: Age and Ethnicity
The American country singer was born on October 25, 1993, in Chattanooga, Tennessee in the United States of America and has been called Kane Allen Brown since birth. He was born to a mother of white descent and a father who was both black and Cherokee. The songwriter attended a number of schools during his childhood, largely due to the constant relocation of his family, especially within Georgia, before finally settling in Red Bank Tennessee. The schools include Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School in Georgia, Ridgeland High School, Soddy High School, Daisy High School, and Red Bank High School.
Although he grew up with country music, Kane took a liking to R&B music. However, his interest and love for country music began to grow in grade 11 after winning a school talent show with “Gettin’ You Home” by popular country singer Chris Young.
The three-time American Music Award winner began auditioning for two popular TV music competition series – American Idols and X-Factor. Although he passed the auditions for X-Factor, he dropped out of the show because he did not want to be part of a boy band put together by the show’s producers. In 2014, one year after the X-Factor audit, Brown began covering popular songs and publishing them on social media platforms. In less than a year, he recorded a large fan base and many opinions about his videos.
His September 30, 2015 cover of George Strait’s “Check Yes or No” was clicked well over 7 million times, and shortly after that, his fan base on Facebook grew to over one million. Kane Brown released his debut album “Closer” (EP) in June 2015, which reached number 22 on the top country album charts. It sold over 3000 copies in the first week after its release.
In October 2015 he released a short clip of his new single “Used to Love You Sober”, which had over a million viewers within only 3 hours of its release, while the main song was released a few weeks later. The song was made part of his EP Chapter 1, which was released shortly after he was signed by RCA Records in 2016. “Used to Love You Sober” made it to number 2 on the Country Digital Songs Chart and sold 38,000 copies in just 2 days.
Brown’s self-titled first album was officially released on December 2, 2016. “What Ifs”, which he released with his high school girlfriend, Lauren Alaina, was part of the album, which was rated platinum by the RIAA. Two years later, Brown released his second album, “Experiment”, which was broadcast in November 2018.
Kane Brown signed his first record label with an American record company, Zone 4, and is currently under contract as an artist with the American country music record company RCA Records in Nashville, Tennessee.
