His contract was purchased by the San Francisco Giants on 24 June 2008. Romo made his Major League debut with the Giants in 2008 in a 4-1 defeat to the Cleveland Indians. In 2009, he was named “All-time Top Pitcher” by the RMAC. In 2010, 2012 and 2014 he won the World Series title with the San Francisco Giants. In December 2014 he agreed to a two-year contract worth $15 million with the Giants.
