Udonis Haslem of Maimi Heat is one of the few ballers known to have played for a particular team for more than a decade. Before that, however, he had played college basketball for the Florida Gators from 1998 to 2002 on a sports scholarship at the University of Florida. He is said to have been instrumental in his team’s participation in four NCAA tournaments. Udonis Haslem played such excellent games in college that he has accumulated a lot of fans who would always call U after every impressive move he made. He is said to have averaged 13.7 points and 6.7 rebounds in a single game. Udonis Haslem also made history when, at the end of his college career in 2002, he finished third in the record statistics of college teams for the most points scored with 1,782 points and tenth with 831 rebounds. After his tremendous college career, Udonis played for the French team Chalon-Sur-Saône for only one year, as he was not drafted into the NBA after graduation. Prior to that he also won the title of second NBA All-Rookie Team in 2004.
Family: Wife, Son
The Maimi Heat’s Center entered into a covenant with his long-time girlfriend Faith Rein on August 24, 2013, in Florida. Udonis and Faith are said to have met during their college years at the University of Florida in 1999 and re-dated shortly after Faith broke up with her football boyfriend. After a year of constant dating, the couple found out that Faith was expecting a child and they revealed that they had to make the hard decision to have an abortion at that time, as they could not care for the child and Udonis was about to move into the NBA. This revelation seemed like a setback to many people, but not a moral decision, but the couple seems to be happy with their decision.
After a few years, Udonis was drafted and the couple welcomed two sons named Josiah and Elijah while they were still together, but finally, on August 29, 2012, the player asked the long-awaited question, and Faith became his bride barely a year later. Their wedding was a typical celebrity wedding, with quite a few NBA players present, and the party that followed is still referred to as a fun wedding in Palm Beach, Florida.
It is also worth knowing that Udonis Haslem has another son named Kedonis Haslem from a previous relationship, but not much is known about the boy’s mother. Kedonis also takes after his father as an athlete, and he plays soccer as an offensive lineman in Toledo College.
As a top NBA player, Udonis Haslem is expected to earn a very comfortable sum of about $3.8 million in salary, and his net worth is estimated at $20 million.
