The social media star was born in a Roman Catholic family as the third child of Peter and Cheryl Franta, who were doctors and housewives at the time.
Connor Joel Franta was baptized at his birth on September 12, 1992, in Wisconsin. His family soon moved to LaCresent, Minnesota, where he grew up with two brothers and one sister – Dustin, Nicola, and Bradson. He attended elementary school at St. Peter’s Catholic School, attended Lacresent High School, and transferred to the Roman Catholic College Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, where he studied economics.
Over the years Connor has made a name for himself through his YouTube videos. His first video, Connorfranta, was created out of boredom but was unknown to him. The channel made a huge success out of the fact that the video gained viewers and subscribers in numbers that grew to about 4 million subscribers and 400 million viewers.

Before its debut in 2012, he joined a YouTube channel called “our2ndlife” (O2L) in 2012 along with five other guys (Trevor Moran, Justin Caylen (JC), Kiann Lawly, Dillon Ricky, and Sam Pottorff) who are also YouTube personalities. The memoirs were an autobiography about his “outer life”, as he would put it, and they were awarded the Good Reads Choice Award for Best Memoir and Autobiography in 2015. In 2017, the established author announced the arrival of his second book “Note to Self”, which he also called an autobiography about his “inner life”.
In order to better demonstrate his value as a person of many talents, Connor Franta joined forces with Andrew Graham and Jeremy Winniberg in 2015 to create a record label that was doing very well all along. In addition to being an entrepreneur, Connor has also shown his deep concern for people living in extremely poor conditions; to celebrate his 22nd birthday, Connor launched a fundraising campaign he called “The Thirst Project”. He launched it to build water wells for the people of Swaziland in 2014, with the goal of raising $120,000 in one month.
Within 10 days of construction, he was able to achieve the goal, and by the end of the month, he had collected $230,000. After the project was realized, he was honored with the Governor’s Award for his great efforts on June 30, 2015.
Seeing how successful his 22nd was, Connor Franta, on the occasion of his 23rd birthday, again started a campaign with a goal of $181,000, and of course, he achieved even more in the end, which he in turn used to build 16 more water wells in Swaziland.
