A talented American meteorologist who has proven her excellence as a journalist, reporter, presenter, and television personality outside of weather events is Amy Freeze. She has made a significant contribution to the journalism industry and is greatly admired for her presentation, her accuracy in forecasting, and her outstanding skills as a reporter.
Amy has won the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Emmy Award three times in her career. She is the eldest of five daughters (Amy, Jessica, Emily, Cami, and Lindsey) born to her parents Bill and Linda Freeze. Amy was in the class of the Jeffersonville High School in Jeffersonville, Indiana in 1992. With a keen interest in journalism, she worked as a meteorologist and co-host of 10! for NBC’s WCAU in Philadelphia, which served as live entertainment for four years in the early years of her career. She then worked as a replacement for NBC’s Weekend Today and MSNBC at Rockefeller Center in New York City.
KWGN and KMGH in Denver, Colorado, were also among the places where she worked. However, her broadcasting career began on Good Day Oregon at KPTV in Portland, Oregon. Amy married her college sweetheart, Gary Arbuckle, a chiropractor by profession, in August 1994. The two met at Brigham College, where she was a cheerleader while he was Cosmo the Cougar. After they were together for a while, they decided to take their relationship to the next level by tying the wedding knot.
Gary is from Northridge, California, and of Scottish descent. Since his early days, he always had health care as his preferred profession and therefore he was an assistant to a chiropractor while he was studying. From 1995 to 1998 he continued his education and earned his doctorate with Magna Cum Laude at Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. Gary also studied Muscle Activation Techniques in Chicago.
