As she grew up, Avril learned to play instruments such as guitar and piano. Her father had a studio built in the basement and bought a sound machine for Avril to refine her skills. She supposedly started with country music before she decided to explore other genres. When she was a teenager, she had started writing her own songs.

Net Worth

Avril began performing very early in her life, in church, at county fairs, and the like; and it was at one of these performances that her first manager, Cliff Fabri, spotted her as a talent in a bookstore. She was fourteen years old at the time. When she turned sixteen two years later, she was to be introduced to Arista Records in New York City. Within fifteen minutes, Avril was signed to a two-record deal for $1.25 million.

After this development, Avril dropped out of high school to concentrate exclusively on the production of her first album, and what an album it was! It was called Let Go and was released on June 4, 2002. It went platinum and sold over a million copies in just over a month. Some of the hits on this album were “Complicated”, “I’m With You” and “Sk8er Boi”.

She didn’t rest on her laurels but kept the enthusiasm for her musical style flowing when she released her second album “Under My Skin” in 2004, which climbed to the top of the US billboards. The album contained great tracks like “Nobody’s Home” and “Don’t Tell Me” and “My Happy Ending”.

In 2007 she released the album “The Best Damn Thing” with the hit song “Girlfriend” on it. Her next albums were “Goodbye Lullaby” and “Avril Lavigne”, which also had their own big hits. She has received her fair share of recognition, received top awards at the Juno Awards, and was nominated for 8 Grammys.

Music wasn’t her only field of expertise, as she has her own fashion line and perfume and had to appear in a number of films. Avril Lavigne has a net worth of 50 million dollars.
