Columbus Short Bio (Age)
Short was born on September 19, 1982, as Columbus Keith Short, Jr. in Kansas City, Missouri. His parents have two other sons, John Rancipher and Chris Staples. Short was born with entertainment in his genes, and from the age of 3, these genes manifested themselves in the fact that Short loved to entertain his relatives either by imitation, dancing, or silly jokes.

At the age of 5, Short’s family moved to LA, where his mother began working as a talent manager. Short then began to improve his entertainment skills in a youth theater. He also attended Orange County High School of the Arts and later joined the Broadway tour of Stomp, a British percussion group.
In 2004, Short began his acting career in the small role of a dancer in You Got Served. The following year he made his debut on the small screen with roles in ER, Judging Amy, and Raven Symone’s That’s So Raven. Family, Wife
Columbus Short had a very difficult time in his romantic life. For years the actor has been plagued by divorce dramas resulting from his occasional domestic abuse of his lover.
The actor was married for the first time to a certain Brandi Short at an unknown time, and the two were divorced in 2003, at a time when he had not yet made his appearance in the entertainment industry. They had a daughter named Ayala. Two years after this divorce, the Short married the dancer Tanee McCall.
They stayed together until 2013 when she filed for divorce. The couple seemed to have come to an arrangement shortly after that, as they did not learn of the divorce until April 2014, when Kurt’s bad behavior forced them to file for a second divorce. According to her filing, Short threatened to kill her and herself. She also obtained a restraining order against him.
The actor admitted to assaulting his wife and threatened to go to prison but escaped by pleading guilty. To avoid prison, Short also pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated assault because he had beaten a man in a restaurant in LA in September 2015. To his sentence, he was sentenced to three years of probation, including two months of community service and counseling on anger management.
Short found love again in Aida Abramyan and married her in 2017, but his bad behavior was not quite on track when reports surfaced that he had physically attacked her in November 2017, a few weeks after her wedding. His wife, Aida, would come to refute the allegations via social media.
Short was sentenced to 1 year in prison for violating his parole. He served 34 days of his prison term before he was released. Columbus Short has three children by three different women who are his three wives, including the current Aida Abramyam.
