Fred Savage is an American actor, producer, and director. While he has appeared in several films and television shows, he is best known for his role in The Wonder Years as Kevin Arnold. The award-winning show ran on ABC from 1988 to 1993. At the age of 13, Fred was nominated for two Golden Globes and two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Actor in a comedy series for his role as Kevin Arnold, making him (at the time) the youngest actor to be nominated for these awards.
Fred also appeared in Morningstar/Eveningstar, Dinosaur! – A Fun-Filled Trip Back in Time!, The Boy Who Could Fly, Crime Story, Vice Versa, Little Monsters, Austin Powers In Goldmember, Family Guy, Kim Possible, Justice League Unlimited, and The Twilight Zone. He also starred in the iconic 1987 film The Princess Bride as The Grandson.
After The Wonder Years, Fred Savage was cast in several sitcoms including Crumbs, Working, and The Grinder, all of which were short-lived. To take on darker roles, he played a professor in Boy Meets World who wrote a women’s story, and a serial rapist in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Fred Aaron Savage was born on July 9, 1976, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Lewis and Joanne Savage. His father was an industrial real estate agent and consultant. Although he was born in Chicago, he grew up in Glencoe before the family moved to California. He attended the Brentwood School, a private co-educational day school in the Westside area of Los Angeles.
