Inbee Park is a professional golfer from South Korea who plays on the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour and the LPGA of Japan Tour. She is currently considered one of the best golfers in the world and has been ranked number one in the Women’s World Golf Rankings on four different occasions. First in April 2013 until June 2014, then in October 2014 until February 2015, again in June 2015 until October 2015, and finally since April 2018.

Inbee Park was born on 12 July 1988 in Seoul, South Korea. She started playing golf at the age of ten and realized that she had a natural affinity for the sport. Two years later she moved to the United States to begin a career in golf.
During her stay in the United States, she was a Rolex Junior All-American five times, and she played in the circle of the American Junior Golf Association, winning nine events. In 2002, she won the U.S. Girls’ Junior Golf Championship. In 2003, she was a semi-finalist in the U.S. Women’s Amateur Golf Championship. Inbee Park placed second in the U.S. Girls’ Junior Golf Championship in 2003 and 2005.
Inbee became one of the few amateurs to participate in the Kraft-Nabisco Championship from 2004 to 2006, playing as a sponsor.
