Rebecca “Becky” Quick was born on 18 July 1972. She attended Rutgers University, where she earned a BA in Political Science in 1993.
Becky, however, grew up in Indiana, Ohio, Texas, and Oklahoma, but was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the United States of America as the daughter of her American parents.
During her studies, she was editor of The DailyTargum newspaper from 1992 to 1993. At that time she also completed a two-week summer internship at Capitol Hill while continuing her undergraduate studies.
As a student, she won the Times Mirror Fellowship of the Journalism Resources Institute in Rutgers.
