He made his entry into the world of fame by building motorized sofas and desks during his studies. His first remarkable project was the Casual Lofa (driving sofa), which he built to raise money for an international Raleigh expedition to Belize. His creation gave rise to his first television job as a special effects technician on the comedy television show Father Ted in 1994, followed by an outlet for his automotive creations and world record attempts in March 1999, and is also the CEO of Grease Junkie, a merch website.
