Manny Pacquiao Age, Early Life, and Rise to Fame
Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao, Manny (Pacman) was born on December 17, 1978, in Kibawe, Bukidnon, Philippines. He was raised by his parents, Rosalio and Dionisia Dapidran-Pacquiao, together with five siblings.
For Manny, who not only grew up in a poor family but was homeless by the age of 12, growing up was not exactly one of the easiest things. This was because his father had killed and eaten a dog that Manny had rescued and brought home as a pet.
For his father, eating the dog was the only way to punish him for bringing the animal home, but for him, it was a sign to leave the house. Although his father left his mother for another woman, the greater sin for Manny, who would later be reconciled with his father, was his pet dog.

After the incident, the boxer left home and went to Manila where he started to live on the streets before he decided to become a professional boxer.
