Biography

Jana is one of those women who are widely recognized by the fame of her husband. She is widely known as the wife of the famous African American political activist and television personality Van Jones.

Jana comes from a political family, she is one of six children of William Alton Carter III and Sybill Spire. Her five siblings include William Carter, Marble Carter, Kim Carter, Mandy Carter, and Earl Carter. Jana was a student at UC Berkeley’s School of Law and has been involved in various political campaigns thanks to her father’s political career.

While still at school, Jana worked as the director of the U.S. Race Healing Program of Search for Common Ground, through which she gained much popularity, and when she finished her studies, she became involved in several important functions, including journalism and activism, which helped her earn a certain personal income.

Currently, Jana Carter is involved in several programs to promote entrepreneurship. She is a board member of the Garden Church. She is the owner of Kidpacking, producer, and operations manager at Magic Labs Media.  Family

Jana is closely related to Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the USA. Her late father, Billy, was a politician, farmer, and prominent businessman – a career he may have inherited from his father, James Earl Carter Sr., who was a prominent businessman, farmer, and legislator.

Jana’s grandmother was a popular nurse in Georgia who served as a Peace Corps volunteer in India. She died of breast cancer shortly after Jimmy left office in January 1981.

Jana’s father also ran for mayor of Plains, Georgia, but he lost to his opponent by a few votes. He later left politics and got other jobs while his brother was busy with his political career. He died at the age of 51 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 1987.

He and his twin sister Angela were born on September 20, 1968, and are from Tennessee.

Anthony’s mother, Lovetha Jean, was a high school teacher, and his father, Willie Anthony Jones, was a high school principal; his grandfather was a Christian Methodist Episcopal church leader. He is an award-winning pioneer in the field of human rights and clean energy. He is the president and co-founder of Dream Corps, a non-profit organization.

In 2018, he launched The Van Jones on CNN, and his first guest was rap star Jay-Z.

Van has shown that he is a supportive husband. In 2009, he publicly praised his wife for her extraordinary abilities as a wife, mother, and entrepreneur. In his opinion, Jana is a kind of power-tool girl, very independent, which makes it a little easier for her. He also said that he loves her because she is very resourceful. Jana used to run marathons and climb mountains. The couple and their two children currently live in California.
