Some people are definitely made for the silver screen, and with American actress Kaitlyn Dever it couldn’t be truer. Since her first appearance in 2009, she has been a welcome addition to our television sets over the years. The actor was born on December 21, 1996, in Phoenix, Arizona. While children, in general, are known for their carefreeness and concern for nothing, Kaitlyn was an exception, as she decided to pursue a lifelong career at the age of five. Although, like other children, she participated in a variety of activities such as gymnastics, ballet, and ice skating until she was about nine years old when she decided that acting was the IT thing for her.
It was at this time that she became interested in the performing arts, and her parents reciprocated by sending her to an acting school. To help her further refine her skills and create an environment for it, her parents moved the family to Dallas, Texas, where she enrolled in a month-long acting program at the Dallas Young Actors Studio. Little by little, with every scene of her life, came the revelation of the star that she is. She subsequently booked a series of commercials before she finally moved to the center of the country’s film and television industry, to Los Angeles.
Since then, she has been doing her thing, with no signs of slowing down. Her performances and professionalism seem to echo “I’m meant for the screen”, after all, the camera and the audience love her as much as the variety, authenticity, and spark she brings to the table.

Kaitlyn Dever developed from a commercial film production company to one of Hollywood’s up-and-coming young actresses. She has appeared in both movies and television, but one probably can’t say which is her best platform because she nails her on both sides.
She made her film debut in 2009 in the movie An American Girl: Chrissa stands strong and made her television debut the same year in an episode of Make It or Break It. Since then she has appeared in a number of remarkable works in both worlds. Some of her television appearances include Justified, Modern Family, Private Practice, Party Down, The Mentalist, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Tim Allen Sitcom, the Last Man Standing.
The big screen will include films from 2011 – Cinema Verite, Bad Teacher, J. Edgar, Short Term 12, and The Spectacular Now. In 2014, she appeared in Men, Women, and Children and in the dark comedy Laggies alongside Chloe Grace Moretz and Keira Knightley, and three years later, in 2017, All Summers End, We Don’t Belong Here, Outside In, and Detriot followed. Her most recent works include The Front Runner, Beautiful Boy, the forthcoming drama-thriller film Them That Follow, and Booksmart.
Dever has an undeniable talent and as such has received a number of accolades for her work. She has been nominated for several awards, including the Young Artist Awards, where she received three nominations in 2012 for her supporting roles in Bad Teacher and Last Man Standing, and for her recurring role in Justified.
In addition to her film and television career, Kaitlyn Dever portrayed Cassie Drake, the daughter of the game’s lead actress, Nathan Drake in the 2016 award-winning video game Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. She is also interested in music and has started a career in it with her sister Mody.

Besides Jane and Mady she is the first of three daughters of Tim and Kathy Dever. The child prodigy probably inherited her artistic skills from her father, who for seven years sang the voice of Barney, the purple dinosaur. Amazingly, she was never shown in any of the episodes. That is by the way.
Before her father sang Barney, who later brought the family to Dallas, he and his wife were skating coaches in Phoenix. Besides Barney, he also sang another popular children’s character, Bob the Builder.
