It is easier for children to pull on their parents’ leash when choosing a career. For Kate Hudson, the decision to pursue a career in entertainment was an easy one, given her family history and background.
Kate Hudson Biography (Age)
Kate Hudson was born on 19 April 1979. She is an American businesswoman and actress. Kate was born in Los Angeles, California, and is the daughter of Oscar-winning actress Goldie Hawn and comedian Bill Hudson. Her parents were separated when Kate was just 18 months old. She and her older brother Oliver Hudson were raised by her mother and her long-time boyfriend Kurt Russell, who is also an actor from Snowmass, Colorado.
It is also important to note that Kate has an estranged relationship with her biological father and tends to view Russell as a father. Her biological father claims in his defense that he has made numerous efforts to reconnect with Kate and her brother, but it has never been reciprocated.
In direct contrast, she described her mother as the one from whom she learned a lot and who was the person she looked up to because of her behavior. Kate graduated in 1997 from a college preparatory school in Santa Monica called Crossroads. She was then accepted at New York University but chose an acting career rather than a bachelor’s degree.
Kate Hudson received her first film role in 1998 with two films, first a comedy-drama – The Desert Blue and Ricochet River. She then appeared in the New Year’s Eve set of the comedy ensemble 200 Cigarettes and the teen drama Gossip in 1999. Early on, she realized that she wanted to work hard and be far away from her parents’ star fame to become her own star.
Her breakthrough came when she was cast as Penny Lane in Cameron Crowe’s Almost Famous in 2000. This gave her the platform to win the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress and was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. She has also starred in Fool’s Gold, Raising Helen, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, The Skeleton Key, You, Me and Dupree, Bride Wars, Nine, Deepwater Horizon, and many more.
In 2013, Hudson began a partnership with online fashion retailer JustFab to launch her own line and activewear called Fable tics. And in 2016 she published her book entitled “Pretty Happy”: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body.

She has two half brothers and two full brothers, Oliver Hudson, Wyatt Russell, and Boston Russell, and Zachary Hudson. Her sisters are Lalania and Emily Hudson.
Hudson married Chris Robinson, the frontman of The Black Crowes. The couple entered into marriage on 31 December 2000, but on 14 August 2006, Hudson’s publicist announced that her client and her spouse Robinson had separated, and on 18 November 2006 Robinson filed for divorce on the grounds of “irreconcilable differences”.
The divorce was finalized on 22 October 2007 and Hudson was also granted joint custody of her son. She later began dating Muse frontman Matt Bellamy in early 2010. The couple got engaged in April 2011 and had a son together. However, their love story took a negative turn when it was reported on December 9, 2014, that their engagement had been dissolved.
The couple still maintains a warm relationship and is co-parent of their son. Kate Hudson is currently dating Danny Fujikawa, but it has been reported that the couple has known each other for over 15 years and she actually first met him when she was pregnant with her son Ryder.
