Kate was born on 10 June 1969 in Bangor, Maine, United States of America. She is white and therefore belongs to the white ethnic group and has American citizenship. Her father is Dean R. Snow, the renowned anthropologist and Iroquois expert, a former professor at Pennsylvania State University, while her mother was an English and dance teacher. Her family moved to New York when she was just six months old, so she spent her childhood days in New York with her learned and caring parents.

The media personality attended New York’s Preston High School and later Cornell University for her college education, where she majored in Communications and graduated in 1991. She later enrolled for her master’s degree at Georgetown University to study International Affairs/Foreign Services and received her certificate in 2002.

Career Beginnings and MSNBC Career 

Immediately after college, she worked as a reporter for NPR and NBC Radio after graduating, moving to KOAT-TV in 1995 where she worked as a reporter for three years before joining Cable News Network, CNN, in 1998. During her time at CNN, Kate Snow covered important political news and reported on White House and Congressional events until 2003.

From CNN, she moved to ABC Network in 2003, where she was the popular reporter for Good Morning America at the White House for six years. Later she was promoted to co-host the weekend edition of the morning show. Kate became more popular after the 2008 presidential election when she was ABC News’ correspondent for the Democrats, following every step of Hillary Clinton and her events.
