American hip hop history cannot be complete without mentioning Sean Combs. Aka Puff Daddy, P Diddy, Brother Love, et al. Combs is a hip-hop mogul who has achieved a huge success that many in the industry can only dream of. P Diddy has an estimated fortune of over $820 million, and there is speculation that he could become one of the first hip hop billionaires. True, Diddy became a phenomenon through his musical endeavors, but instead of withering away like the rest when he stopped making music, Combs showed the world that he had quite a business sense. In addition to his breathtaking wealth, another aspect of Sean Combs’ life that attracts a lot of attention is his personal life, which this article is meant to address.
Age and Early Life
Sean John Combs was born on November 4, 1969, in Harlem, New York City, New York. He was born the son of Melvin Earl Combs and Janice Combs (née Smalls). Sean’s father Melvin died when he was just 2 years old. His mother had told him that he died in a car accident, but Sean as an adult would find out that his father was murdered because he was involved in a drug deal gone wrong at the age of 33.
Janice worked in various jobs to help Combs get all the way from school to college at Howard University. Combs was raised Roman Catholic and attended Catholic high school for boys, Mount Saint Michael Academy, which she graduated from in 1987. His nickname, Puff Daddy, dates back to his childhood. It was given to him by his peers because of the anger problems he had. Diddy used to huff and puff to make his body bigger when he was angry.

Sean Combs was never married to any of his children’s mothers. However, many suspect that he would eventually walk down the aisle with his occasional girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, with whom he began dating in 2006 after the relationship with Kim Porter ended.
They first separated in 2008, but reunited in 2015 and seem to have been inseparable ever since. Only time would tell if she would become the first official Mrs. Combs. Is He Gay?
Apparently, the answer to that question is no. However, 50 Cent gave some people reason to be skeptical about Diddy’s sexuality when, in January 2018, he struck a blow to his fellow rapper over a now-deleted Instagram post suggesting that Diddy was gay.
During his appearance at the Breakfast Club Diddy reacted to the accusations from the 1950s and said that he didn’t take jokes from the 1950s personally. “I don’t even think about another man,” Diddy said during the interview. He added: “When I think of another man, I think of cheering him up”, thus illustrating his sexuality.
