With so many fruit basket channels on YouTube, it would not be out of place to watch a channel dedicated to extremism and insanity, created by Internet personalities who never cease to amaze us. However, some of them are good enough and generate a decent advertising income. Richard Burgess, better known as Vegan Gains, is one such person.

He is a Canadian YouTuber and bodybuilder who is known as a vegan activist. In his videos, he promotes the benefits of a vegan diet to his more than 300,000 subscribers. Talk about polemics, he’s a professional at that. Those who, according to his views and beliefs, are not on the same page as him, such as non-vegans, are served a few cans from his overflowing menu. His behavior and views on others have also earned him a questionable reputation, with many calling him a sociopath, narcissist, and even an Oreo.

The bodybuilder was born on the 26th day of June 1991 in Canada. The Canadian launched his YouTube channel in December 2014 with a self-portrayal in a video entitled Why a Bodybuilder Became Vegan after he went vegan in 2011. Since then he has made a number of other videos, most of which advocate veganism, while others have opinions that border on extremist behavior. Richard claimed that he took the vegan path after seeing the video of animal rights activist and lecturer, Gary Yourofsky, on Facebook.

He has demonstrated violence, aggression, and delusions and talks about psychological problems, and describes himself as a sadist and misanthropist. Although his love for and promotion of veganism could be seen as a goal, the way he implements this is often discussed. He claims to love animals, but he likes and enjoys hurting people and often wields a knife that threatens meat-eaters.

YouTuber, who wields the knife, also expressed his hatred for children and babies, explaining that they make him ill and that he so often has the desire to kick his foot through them. Although he claimed his statement was ironic and only meant as clickbait, he demonstrated his hatred by getting a vasectomy so he would never get his own toes.

Further evidence of his aggressive and unstable behavior is his threat to slit the throat of a YouTuber colleague, Mr. Repzion, which distracted from his opinion.

Aside from his attacks on other bodybuilders and YouTuber colleagues, he frequently competes against celebrities in videos with the title forms Celebrity vs. Not only does he attack meat-eaters and seemingly animal abusers, but he also goes a step further by expressing his joy at the “suffering” of others that he believes is caused by meat consumption.

In one of his videos, he made fun of a YouTuber colleague, Peter Czerwinski aka Furious Pete, who had testicular cancer, by saying he deserved what he got and embarrassed him for his nutritional choices. This is the desire for another death because he eats meat. Interestingly, his outbursts don’t even leave out his family members. He went so far as to record his grandfather’s death to promote veganism. Absurd, right?

In addition to his many exploits on YouTube, Vegan Gains has a popular series called Worst of the Fitness Industry, in which he tries to let people know that bodybuilders, no matter how good-looking or nice they seem, don’t necessarily want to help them, but rather want to make money by selling supplements in particular. As such he has often been called the Keemstar of bodybuilders.

Vegan Gains cuts off such an interesting personality. If you mention him in a video or comment, such a person should expect a grossly miscalculated, long-winded, imaginary answer within hours of the comment or post. One case was when LeafyisHere responded to one of his videos entitled “How I kill people humanely” by suggesting that Vegan Gains be thrown into an insane asylum. In response, he posted two videos against him.

But while many criticized him for his extremism, others praised him for his great influence on those who would otherwise not deal with veganism, and also for his controversial approach to presenting his case, which they believe attracts attention and makes people think about what he is discussing.

Jasmine Gains is the name of his wife, who is also vegan. She is also his manager and has her own YouTube channels. The duo met on Facebook sometime in 2015 and got married in November 2016 in Belgium, their home country.

Grandfather

The vegan activist caused quite a stir sometime in mid-2015 when he uploaded a video showing his 82-year-old grandfather having a heart attack, with the intention of spreading awareness about how unhealthy eating meat is. The grandson is said to have made fun of his grandfather by saying that he deserved what he got. The video was soon deleted at the behest of his family, but he was seen pushing his faith to the limit.

Height

With so much focus on vegan bodybuilding and the advantage that the vegan lifestyle has over animal eaters, or rather “abusers” in its language, one would wonder what physique it cuts. Anyway, he has a pretty great body, weighing 81 kg (179 lbs), and is 1.89 m (6’2″) tall.
