Vijay Singh Biography
Vijay Singh was born on February 22, 1963, in Lautoka, Fiji, the son of a father who was an aircraft engineer but also found the time to teach golf. He was raised by his parents, Mohan (father) and mother (Parwati). Together with his other siblings, Krishna Mira and Anita, they were raised by their parents in a financially disadvantaged family.
As he is of Hindu descent, Vijay and his family experienced many prejudices as a child. However, this did not stop him from using all sorts of things to play golf, which his father taught him on an old, abandoned golf course very close to the airport where he worked.
