CoryxKenshin once acted as one of the most famous online players in the world. CoryxKenshin was born Cory Devante Williams on November 9, 1992. He is from Detroit, Michigan and is of African-American origin. The YouTuber comes from a family of five, which includes his mother Stephanie, his father Anthony K. Williams Jr. and two younger siblings; a sister named Aleya and a brother named Anthony.
Cory grew up in his home state and graduated from high school at a regular time. He then enrolled at Michigan State University in 2010 to study media art, but quit after two years and moved to the University of Michigan to study computer science. This second attempt to get a college degree was not successful either, as he eventually quit to pursue a full-time career as an online gamer.

Journey to YouTube Stardom
CoryxKenshin set up its YouTube channel of the same name on April 27, 2009, and then began uploading various content. In this first period, he mainly posted comedy clips as well as video comments on his student life. His uploads were irregular, as he only uploaded videos once or twice a week before taking a break from YouTube at the end of 2011.
After an absence of about a year and a half, the Michigan-born student resumed uploading videos in April 2013. During this time he reduced his vlogs and comic clips and focused on gaming videos. Gambling paid off, as his excellent gaming skills and hilarious comments earned him thousands of fans.
The young man experienced a huge upswing later in October 2015 when one of his gaming videos became a viral hit. The video entitled “FNAF DUBSTEP G-DASH LEVEL! YES PLS. | Geometry Dash (2.0)” collected millions of views within a few days and also tripled his fan base.
Since its breakthrough in 2015, CoryxKenshin has become a true YouTube star. Today he has more than 5 million subscribers and a whopping 2.1 billion hits on his channel. He has also been featured in several notable gaming events, including Comic-Con international. He has also collaborated with other YouTube stars such as LordMinion77, Muyskerm, and Jacksepticeye.
What He Earns as a YouTuber
A flourishing YouTube career is expected to be accompanied by a considerable amount of financial reward. Although CoryxKenshin’s exact income is not known, it is speculated that he earns hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. The YouTuber also runs an online shop where he markets a variety of branded goods. Through these and many other profitable business ventures, he has amassed considerable wealth, estimated at $450,000.
CoryxKenshin uses his wealth to make himself comfortable. In 2017 he allegedly bought a 2,705 square meter house in Michigan. In addition, he is also a philanthropist and has organized fundraisers for various charities. These include the non-profit “Charity”: Water, which aims to provide clean and safe water to communities in developing countries.

CoryxKenshin has a penchant for filling unannounced gaps in its online activities. For example, in February 2016 he stopped uploading without any notice. Two months later, however, he made a comeback and apologized for letting his fans down.
The same pattern was repeated in January 2018 (he stopped uploading for four months) and November 2018, and in June 2019, the Michigan-born artist uploaded a clip and informed his fans that he would return the following week. Since then, however, nothing has been heard from him. This has caused many of his loyal fans to wonder if he is still alive.
Several people have tried to make sense of his recent disappearance. Some claim that he may have found another lucrative business, while others believe that he may have been involved in some personal problems. Whatever it is, the fact remains that CoryxKenshin may very well be alive and taking a self-induced break from his online activities.
