Who is Jessica Simpson?
Jessica Ann Simpson was born as the first child of Joseph Simpson and Tina Ann Drew on July 10, 1980, in Abilene, Texas, United States of America. Her parents, now divorced since 2013, married in 1978, and her younger sister Ashlee is also a singer/songwriter and actress.

When her family moved back to Texas, Jessica attended J.J. Pearce High School and eventually dropped out so she could focus more on her singing career.

Jessica soon began auditioning at various events and sent her unreleased album Jessica to various labels and producers. Her numerous auditions eventually caught the eye of Tommy Mottola, the head of Columbia Records, who was married to Mariah Carey at the time. In July 1997 she signed with Columbia Records. When she signed with the new label, Jessica named her father as her manager and her mother as her stylist.
On September 28, 1999, Jessica Simpson released her debut single, I Wanna Love You Forever. It reached #3 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts and also went platinum for sales. Her debut album, Sweet Kisses, was released on November 23rd, and in the same year she gave up her debut single. In May 2001, Jessica Simpson released her second studio album entitled Irresistible. The album didn’t get as many ratings as her first album, although it sold 127,000 copies in the first week after its release, which was almost twice as much as the sales of her first album in the first week after its release. Irresistible was at number six on the Billboard 200 charts. She could only be satisfied with a gold confirmation for the sale and sold a total of 500,000 copies.
In 2012 Jessica released a single called Sweetest Sin, which expressed her marriage to Nick Lackey and her deflowering. The single did not generate many listeners. Her father and her manager then suggested MTV play the newlyweds on a reality show. MTV bought the idea of the reality show and premiered as Newlyweds on August 19, 2003: Nick and Jessica. Johnson was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round in 2001 and was ranked 224 overall. His time with the San Francisco national team was mainly marked by injuries. Of the six years he spent with the 49ers, he spent two full seasons on the sidelines due to injuries.
