Karen Fairchild was born on September 28, 1969, in Gary, Indiana in the United States of America, to parents of white American descent. She spent much of her childhood in and around Marietta, Georgia, USA.
There is a certain gap in the proven educational background of Karen Fairchild. It is not known for sure which high school she attended and how big her family was or not. However, it is known that she graduated from Samford University in Birmingham Alabama. Here she met her husband during her time as a college student. We will write about him later in this article.

In the mid 90’s Karen was a member of a Christian singing group called “Truth” as an actress and was the lead singer in some of their songs. She later left this group and formed a musical duo called Karen Leigh (a coinage of her name and musical partner) with Leigh Cappillino as her half.
In 1997, while studying at Samford University, Karen Fairchild met Kimberly Schlapman Roads before moving to Nashville, Tennessee, before Jim Westbrook and Philip Sweet joined her band in 1998. The group transformed into the music group “Little Big Town” in 2002, with the four former band members forming the new band members.

The formation of the band was a success, as they were greeted with widespread public acceptance and admiration at the CMA Awards in 2002, when they were signed to Equity music, following the release of their self-titled album. Their debut album “The Reason Why” climbed to #1 on the US Country Music Charts that year. On their first album, they had some of the greatest hits of the time like “Don’t Waste My Time” and “Everything Changes”. In 2006 you will probably remember “Good as Gone” and dance to the melodies of “A Little More You”, which were hit songs on their second album “The Road to Here”.
“Pontoon” on her fifth studio album won the Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the 55th annual Grammy Awards. Karen Fairchild has won numerous awards in her career with her band, including the Best Country Duo/Group Performance Award and the Digital Song of the Year Award for Girls Crush. They have also won the “Vocal Group of the Year” award and the “New Vocal Duo/Group” award.
