Cooper is an American nationality and belongs to the ethnic group of the Guyanese. He was born on 7 March 1995 in Havelock, which is in North Carolina. Pharoh received his high school education at the prestigious Havelock High School, located in North Carolina. He later went to the University of South Carolina to continue his education. Shortly after he began his studies at the university, he joined his school’s soccer team as a quarterback. Shortly before the first season, however, he changed his position on the field to the defensive back.
