Brittany Ann Daniel was born on March 17, 1976, in Gainesville, Florida, to Carolyn and Charlton Bradford Daniel. She has a twin sister Cynthia and an older brother named Brad Raylius Daniel. Brittany had a very active childhood at the side of her twin sister, and among other activities, they started modeling at a young age. At the age of 11, they were signed with the international modeling agency Ford Models, and among other highlights of their career, the twins were featured in the teen magazines Seventeen, YM, and Sassy. They were also featured in an advertising campaign for the chewing gum brand Doublemint. They began acting in 1989 and made their debut with a guest appearance in the sitcom The New Leave It to Beaver. In 1992, Brittany received a regular role as Mila Rosnovsky alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar in the short-lived teen drama series Swans Crossing. This role earned her a nomination for Best Emerging Actress for the Young Artist Award in 1993.

Daniel’s acting breakthrough came in 1994 when she was cast alongside her sister Cynthia as the lead actress in the comedy-drama series Sweet Valley High. Brittany played Jessica “Jess” Wakefield in the role of Jessica “Jess” Wakefield versus the role of her sister Elizabeth “Liz” Wakefield during the series’ highly successful four-year run, and for their brilliant performance, the duo won the Young Artist Award for Best Performance: Young Actress in a TV Comedy Series in 1995. During the run of Sweet Valley High, Brittany Daniel received her first big-screen role in the age drama The Basketball Diaries, in which Leonardo DiCaprio also played the leading role. In 1999 she had a recurring role in the third season of the teen drama series Dawson’s Creek and also appeared in the action movie Sonic Impact. This was followed by roles in the telemovies Fortunate Son (2000) and On Hostile Ground (2000), as well as the co-leading role in the adventure comedy Joe Dirt (2001).

Her performance in White Chicks alongside Marlon Wayans earned her a nomination for the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss. The talented actress was cast as Kelly Pitts in the comedy-drama series The Game and acted in all but two of the series’ nine seasons, which ran from 2006 to 2015. Brittany Daniel was born 5 minutes earlier than her twin sister Cynthia Daniel. It was to be expected that the duo did just about everything together during their childhood; gymnastics, modeling, acting, and finally, they shot into the limelight with their breakout roles at Sweet Valley High. However, after Cynthia achieved several other acting successes, she took a different career path outside of Hollywood. She retired from acting in 1997 to become a photographer. She currently has three children with the film and television actor Cole Hauser, her husband since 2006.

Charlton Bradford Daniel, the father of Brittany Daniel, died in 2008 after a long struggle with cancer. The actress herself was diagnosed with stage IV non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2011. Fortunately, she was declared cancer-free in 2014 after chemotherapy. She worked with her sister Cynthia on a lifestyle blog ‘The Sweet Life’, which they launched in July 2017.

Brittany Daniel is currently married to a real estate agent and attorney Adam Touni, who co-founded the California-based real estate company “The AW Team” in 2011. After getting engaged on Christmas Day 2016, the couple entered into a marriage on July 29, 2017. The wedding ceremony took place at Carondelet House, a rustic and chic wedding venue in downtown Los Angeles.
